Rooted in Experience.
Built around Your Vineyard.
Eakle Vineyard Management was created with a simple belief:
Vineyard management should never be one-size-fits-all.
Founded by siblings David Eakle and Diana Eakle Hawkins, Eakle brings together generations of experience in agriculture, construction, vineyards, and wine with a modern approach to vineyard management. From boutique estate vineyards to large commercial operations, we tailor our involvement to each property, each owner's goals, and the realities of farming successfully in Northern California.
Our role goes beyond completing the work in the vineyard. We look at the entire operation—fruit quality, vineyard health, infrastructure, labor, budget, long-term planning, and ultimately where the fruit is going—to help our clients make informed decisions and get things done.
Built From Firsthand Experience
We understood the challenges because we experienced them ourselves.
Before Eakle Vineyard Management was a business, David and Diana were growers themselves. Managing their own vineyards while working within their family's construction, agricultural, and wine businesses gave them firsthand insight into the challenges vineyard owners face.
They also saw that those challenges were different for every owner. Large commercial operations needed the workforce, equipment, organization, and efficiency to perform at scale. Smaller estate vineyards required the same level of expertise but often with greater flexibility, attention to detail, and sensitivity to individual quality and budget goals.
That experience shaped Eakle Vineyard Management. Rather than creating a standard farming program and fitting every vineyard into it, we built a company capable of scaling its resources and services around the vineyard.
Education Meets Experience
Agricultural roots backed by agricultural business expertise.
Both David and Diana earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Agricultural Business from California State University, Chico, complementing the hands-on education they received growing up in the family businesses.
David's background in plant and soil science, agricultural production, and business brings together the agronomic and operational sides of vineyard management. His focus is in the field—farming operations, vineyard development, equipment, estimating, project execution, and finding practical solutions to the challenges each property presents.
Diana's background in agricultural business, administration, finance, human resources, and marketing brings another perspective to vineyard ownership. Her focus includes business operations, planning, grower relationships, project coordination, industry connections, and helping clients navigate opportunities beyond day-to-day farming.
Together, those complementary backgrounds allow Eakle to look at a vineyard from both sides: how to farm it well and how to operate it successfully.
More Than Vineyard Management
The Big Picture. Every Detail In Between.
Successful vineyard ownership starts long before the first vine is planted and extends far beyond the work that happens between the rows. At Eakle Vineyard Management, we look at the vineyard as a whole—understanding where an owner wants to go and helping bring together the pieces needed to get there.
Our involvement can begin with finding and evaluating the right property to grow your vision, understanding its potential, and helping develop a practical plan for what comes next. From vineyard development, infrastructure, budgeting, and project coordination to farming, harvest, capital improvements, crop insurance, grant opportunities, and getting fruit to market, we can provide guidance and support throughout the entire process.
Through our integrated relationship with Eakle Construction & Trucking, we also bring a level of development and construction expertise that extends beyond traditional vineyard management. Roads, reservoirs, drainage, water systems, site development, vineyard removal and redevelopment, and other property improvements can all be considered as part of the larger plan—not as disconnected projects.
Just as importantly, we understand that every owner's vision is different. Some clients want a team to manage the entire operation; others need us to step in for a specific project, season, or challenge. We tailor our involvement around fruit quality, vineyard health, operational efficiency, budget, and long-term objectives, with the resources to scale for both estate vineyards and large commercial operations.
Our goal is to become an extension of our clients' team—seeing the big picture, managing the details, and bringing together the people, resources, and experience needed to move their vision forward.
From finding the right piece of land to farming the vineyard and everything in between, we're here to help turn your vision into something that grows.
Your Vineyard. Your Vision. Our Expertise.
